Default HP 2400 Turning off the lamp

I fell into a HP 2400, and dug a big lens out of my stash of junque,
with the intent of making a large format camera.

I find that when I unplug the lamp, I also disable the scanner.

Any ideas how to kill the light, but keep the sensor?

Default Re: HP 2400 Turning off the lamp

what are the voltage and current requirements for the lamp? perhaps
replace it with a resistor of appropriate resistance and wattage?

just a wild thought, since I don't have any knowledge of the HP2400
innards.
