Hello all, recently my office purchased a new scanner, (Fujitsu FI 5650C Image scanner). Scanner works great, but whenever we try to scan paper that has a smooth surface with a little thickness, the feeding area does not pick up the paper, and sometimes there would be multi-feeds. I was wondering if anyone else has the same problem, and if they fixed the problem? Thanks in advance!

I know you say it is a new scanner.
Two things come to my mind, one is the paper thinner that the feeder
specification says?
Second, have you cleaned the feed rollers in the feeder.

Thanks for the response! and to answer your question, the paper is somewhat thick, and the feed rollers have been cleaned. We recently had a Fujitsu technician come in to fix these problems, and they still havent' solved that problem, they even replaced the rollers. He also brought some thick paper to the office to test it out, and the exact same problem came up. I'm just wondering if there is a way to fix this situation. Thanks again!

Having the Fujitsu Technician work on the problem is probably the best
thing.
All I have ever heard about Fujitsu, is they have good service, I am sure
that they will do everything in their power to solve the problem.
