Default CanoScan 8000Fproblems

In trying to remove software for this scanner prior to a reinstall,
the following messages arise.
1. An installation support file could not be installed. The system
cannot find the file specified.
2. The InstallShield Engine (Kernal.exe) could not be launched. Class
not registered.

Can anyone advise why these messages come up, what they mean and how
can the problem be overcome?

Are you using the uninstall on the CD?
Put the CD in and run Setup.exe if the disk does not Auto Run.

Click Uninstall the Software.
