Bill Gates has dropped the biggest hint yet that Microsoft’s successor to its unloved operating system Windows Vista could arrive around the middle of 2009 – ahead of the firm’s original roadmap.
Bill Gates must try as possible as he can to release WINDOWS 7 in the half of 2009 becuase windows vista has made man problems for users , i knw that microsoft vision is to make it's windows OS systems so attractive and 3D but, they must give it a good system configration..... becuase sshape nowadays does not matter but the performance is important.
Used the Windows 7 Beta for a while and had mixed experiences with it.
Loved the GUI of the desktop. Easy and clean. Booted fast and didn't come across any errors in the OS despite it being a beta.
However the negative aspect were that since it was a beta a lot of 3rd party software didn't work properly.
I couldn't play Lineage 2 because the company behind Game Guard hadn't made their anti-cheat software compatible with Windows 7 yet.
Couldn't install my Adobe Photoshop CS 3 either due to compatibility issues.
Of course these things has been or will be fixed for the final release however wasn't much of a beta testing when you couldn't even get your games to work for a performance test on a gaming system :P
