red parallel lines on page from Epson printer

Have a Epson stylus photo 830U which now prints a series of feint red lines
perhaps about 15 in number and four millimeters apart across the page in
fairly random places. Thanks for any advice

I prefer not to make a diagnosis on a word description alone because I
have often been mistaken as to what the person was describing, and some
printing defects that look relatively similar can be of quite different
causes.

So, if you can send me by email a small scan of an area showing this
defect, I'd be happy to look at it and give you a diagnosis and some
suggestions what you can do about it.

If you can make a scan at 300 dpi (about 4 square inches or equivalent)
and jpeg it at high quality and send it as an attachment to the address
below, I'll let you know what I see.
