Look for a small piece of paper in the paper path.

Lou B's recommendation is the first I'd try. Consider very carefully
inspecting the paper infeed path to the point of lifting the printer up,
slanting it backwards to see if something comes out. The second thing would
be to clean the paper infeed rollers. Take a piece of plain paper and spray
it with some alcohol. Feed it through the printer a couple of times to see
if it clears the problem up.
Chances are the rubber wheels which advance the paper through the paper
transport are glazed. This happens when coated and stiff papers are used.
You can try taking a piece of uncoated student watercolor paper and
spray either Isopropyl alcohol or ammoniated window cleaner onto the
middle area making it damp but not wimp, and leaving a small border
around the edge so that part of the paper is dry. Then using the load
and eject buttons, load the paper through the printer without printing.
Do so several times, turning the paper around and upside down.
Allow the printer to dry somewhat and then run some bond paper through
several times to help dry off any residual solvents.
Try to run the quality paper through the printer so that the more
flexible curve goes through the paper rollers rather than the other
direction/grain which is stiffer. You can also slightly roll the paper
to soften its ability to curve.
If this doesn't work you may have to use cotton swabs to manual clean
the rubber advancing rollers in the paper transport system.

Does the paper make it all the way through the paper path? If it does then
Arthur Entlich is on the right track. If it never makes it through then
probably something is stopping the paper, this can be really difficult to find
without taking the covers off. Suspects are, drawing pins, moths, pencils,
paper clips etc. I have seen them all plus other stuff.

At least one screw, a lot of paper clips and moths (moths seem to fall into the
paper hopper and wriggle themselves out of sight and between the rollers then
along comes the paper and jams them in there! I have used a piece of mylar
about 50mm wide and maybe 1/2mm thick and gently forced it against the correct
paper flow and this works more often than not using forceps to remove the
offending object.Oh, was that YOUR glass eye? ;-)
