Problem with HP Inkjey 5550 Printer.

I have been trying this evening to print some photos on A5 paper. The
printer made some peculiar noises and packed up. At present the two
lights, yellow and green are flashing. When I turn it off they are
doing the same.
I have printed 6x4 inch and A3 photos in the past.

Any help please.

Sounds like either somethings jammed in the works or somethings come adrift, especially if a grinding type noise... is the print head 'parked up' when it's switched off?
