Default Printing on media

Which inkjets will print directly on to cd/dvd media (using proper media
of course)? Can be either new models or older models.

Epson has a couple.

HP has one or two

Canon has several, but in the USA they must be modded to enable disc
printing.

Here in Canada, I believe Canon markets several printers that print on
media. The iP4300, for example.

But in the States I hear that the feature is left out. Naturally, the
Canadian version is considerably more expensive, around $130 CAD ($119
USD).

Seeing I wanted to be in on the fun I upgraded my older iP4000 to print
on media with an upgrade kit from eBay. Something you can check out if
you're interested in a bit of "do-it-yourself".

Isn't the Canon MP530 sold over there? IIRC it will print on CD/DVD
media and it got a rave review in one of the Aussie PC rags. [Might
have been _PC User_ about October 2006.] The only downside reported
seemed to be that it doesn't have a card reader for PC-free printing.

Cheers, Phred.
