My Epson CX6400 All-in-One started misbehaving.
I print mostly text documents using black ink. The text on some lines of
the print-out has faint white horizontal lines and seems wavy. When I
print a nozzle check the color part is nice and smooth while the black
part is kind of rugged although it does not show any gaps.
I did the obligatory 3 cleaning and alignment but this did not improve
anything.
Epson's support by email is completely useless.
Has someone run into the same problem and found a solution?
Thanks,

I've run into this situation before with a printer at school (C84) where
the text was wavy and the nozzle check as well. I first started trying to
remedy it by going to the Print Utility and do a print head alignment to get
the text printing unwaved. That didn't work and the after posting the
problem on this site Art Enlich (Epson Printer specialist and long time
guru) suggested that the head may be delaminating. From what I gathered
there was nothing to be done except to replace the head, which is rather
expensive and non-coste effective with this printer.

Thanks for the comments but here a miracle happened. I was told not to
leave the printer on for extended amount of time. Not sure what extended
meant I turned off the printer during the day and turned it on only when
needed to print something. That meant that I could turn on/off the
printer three of four times a day.
Now it print OK. Haven't tried it yet in High Speed Mode with Black Ink
Only.
