New printer on network cannot be seen

Hi
I am installing a new HP printer onto a Windows 2000 network where we
previously had a Brother
The unit is functional however I cannot see in my Network setup and
consequently cannot print a test page
I am sure I have forgotten one of the basics in the setup and for the life
of me cannot see how to identify/share this device
Any thoughts appreciated

printer.
