Default Lexmark P915 Install

I am going to install a new Lexmark P915. The instructions specify
that I turn off my anti virus program before beginning the install. Is
it wise for me to also disconnect the ethernet cable from my cable
modem to prevent any virus vulnerability. I assume that the Lexmark
software will not try to connect to the internet during the install.
Thanks.

Always a good idea, however if your firewall is enabled you should be safe.
If the Lexmark software attempts to access the internet it should warn you.
