I recently bought a Kodak 5300 and, as far as I can see, the ESP5 is
virtually the same printer. I did write a short review in this newsgroup
(search for title Kodak 5300). My views have not changed since. I am
very happy with it.

No but at least it is not a Lexmark.  If you want photos then Canon or Epson are good choices with Canon a bit better.

The Kodak AiO ESP5 and its relations, which use pigmented inks and an
additional protective "ink", have received the "achieved the highest
level of overall print permanence of any current consumer desktop
printer system" in testing by Wilhelm Imaging Research, and tests by
Quality Logic have confirmed the claims of the lowest per page costs
of any consumer ink jet (using original manufacturer inks). The
printer has also received very good ratings for image quality (for
example, in recent testing by Rochester Institute of Technologyfor PC
World magazine).

Whether it meets your needs in other ways depends, of course, on what
you do with your printer. There are a lot of high quality printers out
there.
