Thanks Cari, I will continue to wait as I would like to see samples of
photos printed on one before I commit to buying, I know I can order from
BestBuy U.S.A. but don't like ordering heavy hardware online.
The reviews on these units are mixed, so not sure who to believe, The lower
ink costs are appealing but I am also looking for quality, Any thoughs on
these units?
Best Regards, Rene Lamontagne

I haven't seen them in stores at all yet.... I just got myself a slightly
used Pixma 6600D (last year's model) for $41 (USD) from eBay and am so
impressed with its output. To compare it, I have all Canon units (i950,
i860, i560 and Pixma 4300) but this outshines them all. Canon ink
cartridges are about $14 each, which isn't too bad. I see the new wide
format HP unit's cartridges are around $50 each - at which point I was in so
much shock I walked away from the PC and gave my little 6600D a grin.

A quick check of Kodak Canada's website reveals that I couldn't find
them offered to Canadians yet as part of their product line. It's not
uncommon in the printer business to have different release dates and
even different models for different world markets. But an email reply
from Kodak may indicate their expected due date. Strangely, they make
no mention of their imminent arrival. Unusual. I've seen Canon Canada
post arrival dates of new models.

For the case of printers, the hardware will be the same for the Canadian
market as the USA. There is the added compication of French packaging
and manuals, if that wasn't though of first off, and techincal approval
(RF emissions and electrical safety). More than likely though, it is
simply supply chain issues.
We received your e-mail regarding and appreciate the opportunity to be

The distribution timing of the Kodak EasyShare All-in-One Printers in
Canada has not been determined, so at this point there is no information
to share
We are glad to be of service and are here for you if you need us in the
future. If you do, please include any previous e-mail.

They call it the Kodak EasyShare but tell you there is no information to
share. Maybe they should call it the Kodak Don'tKnowWhenShare in Canada.
