Default ip4300 banding

Hi, a friend has a nearly new ip4300 and it prints a half inch band normally
and the next half inch band faded and so on across the page. I had this on a
nearly new ip5300 and concluded that the presence of Inksaver on my pc was
the cause even though it had been uninstalled. Friend is currently doing a
fresh install but I wonder if anyone else has any ideas? This is happening
on plain paper and fast print settings in colour

Using the draft mode will often result in banding, this is not unusual. Run
the nozzle check test and report the results.

Then switch to "standard" print quality, there's shouldn't be any banding.
The "draft" setting is only intended for testing and lay-out work, it's not
intended to look pretty.

Occasionally, ink flow issues can be revealed in draft mode, as the flow is
inadequate for the faster print, but this is pretty rare. Dark or black
colors would be more likely to show this.

I highly recommend NOT using any 3rd-party "ink-saver" type software, as
it's just snake oil and does cause problems.
