Default HP Photosmart 7160

Hello,

I'm looking at buying a Photosmart 7160 since Staples is running
a special this week for 50% off after rebate. I was looking at this in
the store yesterday and was a little worried when I opened and closed
the tray. The printer went into a calibration mode which took quite
some time. I know that Canon printers used to do this in the past (not
sure if they still do) and when the calibration was going on; it was
more like a cleaning process which would use up ink. The ink would go
into a sponge and once it was full would lock up the printer. I'm
wondering before I buy this, if HP has started doing this? Any more
info on this calibration process would be very helpful.

Thanks,
Nick
