Hi,
Got some cut price HP photo black ink and want to put it in my Brother
DCP-1150 (with a syringe), will that be OK ? Will mix with ink already in
there, is there a fundimental difference between photo ink and normal ink
that will trash my print heads or anything ?
I would not recommend this. I believe most Brother printers use piezo
heads while HP mainly uses thermal heads. The mechanics of them differ
quite a bit and may lead to clogs or other quality issues.

No, please don't try it. The chances are there will be incompatibilty issues
which could cause printhead damage.
