i have 32 bit Vista home premium running on my comp. i have a 3940
InkJet (USB) connected to it. when i try to print anything, this is
what happens:
1. the document to be printed gets added to the queue.
2. the yellow/green light on the printer keeps blinking
3. nothing else happens,,, it just does not print
there are no error messages... i tried to install the driver (again?
because vista already detected it as a 3940...) but got an error
message saying that the OS was not supported (??).
i really need to get this working.. please help out asap.
Is the driver from HP (like from their website), did it come with the
printer on a CD or DVD, or something that was offered within the Vista
"boxed set" of drivers?
Is the driver specifically for Vista 32 bit version?
What interface does the printer connect with? USB or parallel?
Some older HP laser printers have a problem with Vista. Some do not
have drivers that have been updated.
What software are you trying to print from?
