Default HP 2600n Networking Login issue

I have been trying to setup my HP 2600n printer and ran into a
problem. I went to a configuration set via my browser using the IP
address to gain access. When I went to the Networking tab I changed
the admin password to something I would remember but I didn't expect
that I would have to login with the password to change any Network
configuration.

When I now go to the Networking tab a login window pops up and asks
for my username and password. I have the new password but I don't
know what the username should be. Is there a way to recover this
information? The login pop up window identifies the window as HP
Networking and I must fill in my username and password.

Is there a way to retrieve this information?

Thanks

Since nobody else replied already, here's a wild guess. Try a blank
username -- that's what the linksys RT54GL router uses at a place I
volunteer where I have two 2600n set up on a mixed Xp/98SE network.

They are controlled through the 2600n toolbox software installed on each
computer in the building.

I also have a 2600n at home networked on a mixed 98SE/Xp/OSX10.4
network. On none of the printers is there a username or password, only
on the respective routers. I've never seen the printers throw up a
login window.

Just went and checked using HP toolbox to get to network settings.

Username is Admin, and cannot be changed. If you can remember your
password, then you should be able to change it. I'll leave mine blank.
