Some help appreciated here.
I am looking to buy an inkjet printer for small commercial runs of labels.
It only has to be A4 size. We are a commercial label printer and have the
chemically treated stocks suitable for inkjet machines. (The coating makes
dye inks waterproof). However, I am looking at 4800 dpi or better, I need a
machine that is reasonably quick, I prefer solvent inks so I can print
synthetic stocks. I prefer separate ink cartridges. Six colour is better
than CMYK and the I don't want to pay exhorbatant prices for replacement ink
cartridges and print heads. Is there such a beast available?

I can't think of any of the typical consumer machine companies that
makes such a machine (by which I mean Epson, Canon, Lexmark and HP
(unless HP has something from a special division).
None of them use solvent inks.
Also, they all charge a small fortune for OEM ink cartridge replacements.
