While the review is favorable to this printer as to the results and the
way it works it is not favorable to Canon standing behind the printer
and the official published warranty. Maybe the Epson 3800 while it does
not produce quite the quality results and does waste $5.00 of ink each
time you change the blacks for matte or glossy and does not have the ink
mileage might be a better deal financially.
If Canon will stand behind the printer then that would be the choice but
if they do not then the printer is not a viable choice.
I am going to evaluate the Pro9000 and the Pro9500. Cost wise the
Pro9000 is better but I will wait for the Pro9500 to ship. I would like
to know how much more longevity and higher quality on only fine art
papers you get with pigment as opposed to the more vivid and brilliant
results dye produces.
