How does photo magenta and photo cyan differ from magenta and cyan (inks for
my pixma ip4000 printer)

They are different shades and use for the Pro 9000 8 cart printer

The IP4000 doesn't use photo M and photo C inks.

They are different in the fact that they are a much lighter in shade. Don't
even think about using them in a IP4000.

Right - they are for the six and eight color Canon printers. The are
lighter dye-load inks (the colors are more diluted).

they print in a lighter shade apparently, not recommended
