Default Which Canon All In One??

Hello,

I wonder if anyone can help me?
I'd like to get a new printer to replace my HP PSC750.
After much googling and reading many reviews of All In One's, I've got it
down
to three models.

These are:

Canon Pixma MP610
Canon Pixma MP960
Canon Pixma MP970

Can anybody give me any recommendations about these models?

I know that the MP970 is the top model, but is it really better than the
MP960 or the MP610?

Thanks.

If the 610 is the European version of the U.S. MP600, I've been happy with
my 600, the only ideosyncracy being that it prints a little magenta on
certain papers. This is a newer model with software-driven enhancements,
but I think basic functionality is the same. Scanning is good, not great,
but you expect that in an all-in-one.

Actually, the 610 is the newer version of the 600, the 600 is discontinued.
The 610 should use the newer head assembly with more nozzles.

Which one you choose is totally subjective, none are "better" than another.
It's a matter of features and print engine. The 970 uses the current 7-ink
system, the 610 uses the 5-ink system. The 960 is discontinued, but might
still be available. The 610 is easily the most bang for the buck, but if you
need the more advanced photo printing capability, the 970 might be the
ticket. I can't speak to the scanner side of these units, but it follows
that the 970 would have a slightly better scanner. The 610 will have the
same print engine as the new IP4500, if you want to look at reviews of the
print engine. Personally, I see no benefit from the 7-ink systems unless
they have finer resolution, which in this case they really don't.
