Default Brother 4750e MFC

I have a Brother 4750e. When making a copy the left side of the copy
is fine but the right side of the copy is all black.

I have cleaned the white strip and the scanner window to no avail.

Any suggestions

Thanks

This seems to be a laser based unit. Sounds like the unit is having:

1) toner cartridge problem
2) Image drum problem -- if the drum is a separate unit.
3) Fuser problem -- The fuser is usually the module that "bakes" the
toner onto the paper. If this is damaged, then the paper will have a
lot of toner problem. Be careful because several fusers are a
replacable module but they are expensive.

This is only happening when copying right?
So normal printing from the PC is good.
In that case it is a document scanner problem, some scanner lamps are in fact a
strip of individual lights.
With this FAX it is hard to see the lights to check but if it has a strip of
indivisual lamps then some of them may have failed. If many have done so then
the issue is probably in one of the circuit boards in the printer unfortunately.
This will not be easy to fix and unless the printer is in warranty probably not
worth it.
If you are mechanicaly minded you could disassemble the scanner and make sure
all of the cable connectors are pushed well home but this is a tricky printer
to take apart.
Sorry, I have no simple answer.
