Re: What OC Speed should I be getting with P5N-E, E4300 and CrucialRendition DDR2 5300
There is no blue slot.
Slot A's, yellow
Slot B's, black
It's the yellow slots that most people have problem. Most earlier review
sites never mentioned the yellow memoery slot problem and gave very good
review, and I bought this MB based on their review. Now if I want to up
grade to 4 GB of ram, I have to buy two 2GB ram, instead of just two
more 1GBs which is way cheaper. Another problem with this MB is that for
OCing it is very picky about the ram timings. Have I known about these
problems, I would have went with MSI P6N Neo or the little bit more
expense 680i Lt chipset MB.
So I am not as happy as I first thought.

The black slots are named DIMM_A2 and DIMM_B2. The yellow
slots are named DDR2 DIMM_A1 and DDR2 DIMM_A2. But at
least we now know what you're talking about, even if you do talk
wrong!

Seem to be talking wrong myself. That should be:
The black slots are named DIMM_A2 and DIMM_B2. The yellow
slots are named DDR2 DIMM_A1 and DDR2 DIMM_B1.

Sorry about the blue, dunno why that colour stuck in my head. I'm using the
black ones now, and it seems okay.
