Hello, I am new to this whole OC business, but I would like to make my x710 BE go to at least 3.0 Ghz. My current pc is this:
Mobo GA-MA69VM-S2 w/ latest official firmware (the biosmod makes it unstable)
PSU OCZ StealthXtreme 500w
CPU Phenom II x710 Black Edition w/ stock cooler and paste
RAM Corsair XMS2 DDR2 800 (2x2 4gb + 1x1 2gb - total 6gb)
GPU Radeon HD 4850
Generic Gabinet with one 80mm cooler on the side blowing air right above my processor an Evercool 2000rpm working as an exhaustor at the back
Currently, Everest is marking these temperatures at more or less 40% load:
Mobo: 53 C
CPU: 45 C
GPU: 60 C
CPU Vcore: 1.33
Memory Vcore: 1.95
Any help would be appreciated. What should I change?
Thanks!

A little correction: it's a Phenom II x710 normal, as there are
no Black Editions of this CPU.
Can anyone help me?

I'm not familiar with the board, but reviewers say that upon entering the
BIOS, the <Ctrl> + F1 key combination unhides an "Advanced Chipset
Features" options screen with some overclocking options. http://www.silentpcreview.com/forums...ic.php?t=42308

Thanks for answering. Yeah, this board sadly lacks those
parameters. There is a custom bios that unlocks those options,
but it made my system become unstable so I'm avoiding it.
Without the multiplier, can I do it raising the FSB instead?
Should I downclock the hyperthread? I'm a bit clueless as to
where I should begin.
Let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks!
