Default Overclocking help!!!

I have a Gigabyte 8I845GVM mobo with an Intel P4 2800.00 GHz with
onboard 845 graphics, AC'97 audio, realtek LAN. I tried overclocking
my processor, raising the clock frequency from default 100 to 108
(running Passmark Burnin test each time, verifying the reliability),
which stepped up my CPU to 3.03 GHz, RAM 145 Hz with absolutely no
problems, but when I try raising it to 109 Hz, the audio sometimes
gets corrupted or produces hitches. Is there a way to still
continueraising the frequency, without compromising the audio quality?

Yes. Invest $20 in a PCI audio card.
