Default Overclocking

Got my CPU up from 3GHZ to 3.6GHZ! Also investigating flashing the bios with
that of a flashier motherboard, but that could end in tears......

You don't EVER flash the BIOS of a motherboard with anything other than a
different and usually updated BIOS specifically made for that brand,
revision and model of board. M/b's are not built to a standard reference
design like many videocards are, where it is sometimes possible, for
example, to flash a reference design Galaxy 8800GT with an eVGA 8800GT BIOS
or XFX 8800GT BIOS. Even this can come to grief on occasion. Flash that
motherboard with the BIOS of another "flashier" model and you'll likely wind
up regretting it big time.

I did flash it, but it would not recognize my CPU, so I'm back to the proper
Maximus Formula 0407. I saw that the file serial numbers were the same for
the Rampage Formula and the Maximus Formula on both boards most recent bios.
I'll settle for my current overclock, maybe push it a bit more when I get my
water blocks.
