Which Gigabyte For C2D?

What's good GB board that isn't too expensive that has SS caps and is a good
OC'er?

Also, what's the latest bang for buck C2D chip?

E2140 by far, if the mobo can handle a high enough FSB due to the 8x multi.
3.2GHz @ $75.

I paid $10 more for a E2160 and bought a $50 mobo to OC to ~2.5GHz or maybe
a little higher.

Read "Cheapo 2D Core Duo OC build" about three threads below this one. I'll
be getting it tomorrow and I'll let you know what I find out.

Notice that all of the lowest-end (yet high value) mobos have serial and
parallel ports, but you'll have to do some legwork to find out if they can
OC. Chances are pretty good that you won't find any with any decent OC
controls in the price range that serial and parallel ports appear because
OCers are looking for cheap higher performance, which gets away from
serial/parallel peripherals. USB has been out for ages, so I'm guessing
that you are either a scientist or an electrical engineer doing projects.
Or you just have old peripherals that work just fine and you want to keep
them.

Actually, I'm a pool guy that still uses a great little DOS program for
billing that only works with a parallel port. Luckily, my HP laserjet has a
parallel port!
