Default Best CPU for New PC

I`m going to be putting together a new PC with a P35 DS3 motherboard and am
choosing the CPU for overclocking. Should I go for an e4300 @ £ 62 or e6420
@ £ 99 - I will be buying PC5300 RAM.

_____

The E4300 and the E6420 both have 2 MByte L2 caches. The E4300 has a lower
stock FSB and a higher multiplier so it will overclock with a lower FSB
compared to CPUs with a stock FSB of 1066 MHz. I think an E4400, with its
800 MHz FSB and multiplier even higher than the E4300 might be the best
choice among low cost Core 2 Duo CPUs.

You've been building a new computer for about 10 years now. When are you
going to finish?
