After installing my new WC setup on my Q6600/Abit IP43 set-up I decided to
try pushing my limits. During an out-of-room benchmarking run I heard a
loud thumping noise and returned to find the system in a crash. After a
reboot the machine refused to Post, a strip out and rebuild informed that 2
of 4 DIMMs were wasted. I have rebuilt the system with just 2 sticks of RAM
( 1 XMS and the other XMS C4 Corsair ram).
Would this explain why I cannot POST above 2.7GHz on a machine that
constantly ran at 3GHz on standard voltage and 3.2GHz on 1.3V.
