Default ATA 100 / 133 hard drives

ABIT KV7 motherboard with two Maxtor ATA 133 drives.
I would like to buy at least one new drive and wonder if
ATA 100 drive would work with the 133 drives on the
same channel or on different channel and need info on
SATA drives, can they work with 133 or 100 drives?

The two specs are essentially the same.

They are essentially the same. Even if your motherboards IDE controller is
ATA133(UDMA6) the drive could still be configured as ATA 100 because of
problems with the ata133 SPEC..
