Anybody installed the Zalman VF1000 on an 8800 ?
Looks kind of thick, and maybe pipes a bit low ??
I read some are installing the VF900. I have one on
my 7900, and it had the half diameter heat fins. Made
for good clearance over the pci slot next to the card.
About to install one on my 8800GTS 320mb.
Had to get the ZM-RHS88 heatsinks for it also.
Will probably do it on the weekend.
Currently 40C outside, which means it is about 35C inside. (no aircon).
Card is running around 62C atm. Hope it comes down a bit when installed.

Oh, I see you're getting the biggie ... about $80 for the
whole thing. That VF900 setup seems more reasonable.
I can get it for $32, and the extra heat sinks for about
$5. Probably good enough for a GT.
For the extra heat sinks, NewEgg has them from
Zalman ( $9 for pkg of 8 ). I also ordered the
VF900-cu with it, and saved on extra shipping.
I don't really think all that VF1000 stuff is needed.
And it must weigh a ton. The VF900 is not exactly
light, but it worked great on my 7900, and fit in
the box.
