Your opinion on 2 GeForce 7600GT PCI-E 256MB DDR3 DVI/TVO SLI cards joined together
I would like to know your opinion on this as in the two of same cards joined
together. Now 1 person i know said to me 2 256mb of same cards joined
together would actually be better than 1 512mb card and would be excellent
for gaming , would you give me your opinion on this as it would be
appreciated and do you know anyone who has this setup with the 2 cards
joined.

"Joining" the second card (via SLI) will give you the boost of 10% to
50% in productivity. If you use the single card with the 512 MB
memory, the speed (=productivity) will stay the same as for a single
card. However, if the game requires lots of wallpaper patterns, then
256 MB memory might not be enough, and this is where the 512 MB card
will shine. This translates in several percent (or several tens of
percent ?) boost in performance. Only now the games started to appear
which can make the use of a large (512 MB) videocard memory, such as
Bioshock.
