What graphic card do you recommend for two DVI monitors (Philips
What graphic card do you recommend for two DVI monitors (Philips
200XW7EB)
with 1680*1050 resolution and pivot ?
Now most 20" monitors have 1680*1050 and most cards support 1600*1200.
Will pivot work out of the box with card Gigabyte GV-NX86T512H ?
If not then I am looking for similar card (Gigabyte/NVIDIA) with dual
DVI and passive cooling, of similar price as above.
(I use winXP, hope now it is right group)

Forgot to add....the roation is done by the NVidia Control Panel / Rotate
display and then choosing 90 degrees left or right, or 180 degress. It's not
a video card feature but a driver control.

Thanks for answer. But will this rotation in driver work with _two_
monitors?
(It seems a stupid question but e.g. remote desktop probably runs only
with one)

I believe it should - there should be separate scaling/rotation controls for
each monitor if I remember correctly.

RF is correct
there are separate controls for each monitor writhin the driver control
panel
you select which monitor you wish to change individually

I think the question the OP is asking, is whether you can:
1) Rotate two monitors.
2) Have them presented as a spanned desktop.
For example, take two 1280x1024 monitors. Rotate them to
1024x1280, then span to make a 2048x1280 field of view.
Can you do that ?
Page 140 from this old manual, says yes, but span isn't mentioned. Page 47
shows the old control panel. Later pages show alternate display numbering
schemes. Maybe as the OS is WinXP, there are more driver versions to
experiment with. It could be DualView would work, but the TaskBar might
only be on one of the monitors.
