MSI GTX275 Lightning with Gratuitous Marketing Features
- Claims certain components are in the same class as those use in satellites
and space shuttles, because they meet MIL-PRF-39003L standards for
temperature. In reality, MIL-PRF-39003 governs only capacitors rated up to
85C, with degraded operation at up to 125C.
- Switches among 3, 6, 10 phase PWM depending on load, with three blinky
LEDs to indicate the number of phases in use...
- Built-in probe points to measure GPU and memory voltage with a multimeter.

I dunno if I would want to brag about using the same components as used in the
Space Shuttle - considering the shuttle is still using technology from the
1960's and 1970's..
As for MIL-Spec.. the only difference between say a MIL-Spec and ISO 9001 is
price.. Having a MIL-Spec equates to a triple to quadruple price premium..
