GeForce GXT 260 noisy?

Hi, I am thinking of building a games computer with a GeForce GXT 260 video
card. What are the noise levels like, I've heard it's like a washing
machine!!

The 260 uses the same cooler as the 280, by the looks of it, which makes it
an outgrowth of the 9800GTX cooler. It should be pretty quiet at full speed.

Can't say much about the washing machine. Mine is pretty quiet as long as
load is balanced during the spin cycle. :-)
