Geforce 6150 LE on Win XP Home Ed just stopped 'working' but 'it still works'
Hi folks,
Well, I'm nearly at wits end with this thing. My vid card has been working just fine for the past 6 months not including last month when it went comatose. I have two screens, an Acer P223w and a Cintiq 12WX. Using Windows XP Home Media Edition. The story is:
Everything was working fine before bed. Shut down computer. (I didn't notice if there were any windows updates). Wake up. Turn on computer. Screens don't work. Realizing the comp was fine, I plugged one screen into the onboard display and here I am after a month of not knowing whether I need a new card.
The nVidia forums have made it clear that the newest drivers for the card are causing a multitude of problems; primarily for Vista users. I've tried every possible combination of powering up the comp and screen. I've completely uninstalled and re-installed many drivers, from the newest ones to the most-recent-one-to-work-before-failing-inexplicably and others. I've tried downloading drivers for the Acer P223w and searching for customer support which has ended in my calm vow to avoid Acer in the future. I re-downloaded and reinstalled the newest driver for the Cintiq, however it made no difference.
Notice everything says plug and play monitors, that the card is functioning properly, yet it might as well not even be in my computer for all the nothing it does.
Any responses are greatly appreciated,
Thanks for your time

Head over to www.guru3d.com. Locate, download and install Driver
Sweeorer. Then:
-- Uninstall the nVidia card drivers
-- Reboot and start in Safe Mode
-- Run Driver Sweeper so as to clear out "left-over" settings / files.
-- Reboot
-- Cancel XP "New Hardware Wizard."
-- Download latest nVidia driver compatible with your GeForce 6150LE
and XP (32 bit)
-- Reboot.
nVidia drivers have been known to be buggy and leaves older settings /
files when updating to a newer version. Driver Sweeper has been
developed to "clear" out the left-over files / settings. Then, XP
will attempt to use the standard VGA driver during the time you
install the nVidia Forceware drivers.

Screens don't work on power on? If you don't see your BIOS or the
Windows boot screen, then the drivers have ZERO to do with your problem.
Your card is dead.
