This page lists cards with the basic Purevideo features.

http://www.nvidia.com/page/purevideo_support.html

This page is an update for HD. And the cards listed off one of
the links on this page, have HDCP, which would be
part of a high resolution playback setup. A display
device with HDCP support would also be needed, and allows
encrypted transmission of the final video output,
to the display device. (All this paranoia, is so
punters won't make copies of the crisp HD output.
Encrypted digital transmission is supposed to see
to that.)

Note that the drivers for this function, are always
playing catchup with the latest cards. So when you
see an announcement of a "new programmable video
processor" in an upcoming video card, be prepared to
wait a year for the driver to be finished.

Some info on HDCP is available here:

Just so there are no misunderstandings, H.264 video acceleration isn't
included with the purchase of the video card. You still need to pay extra
for a player app with Purevideo API support, such as CyberLink PowerDVD 7
Ultra ($50) or InterVideo WinDVD 8 ($40). It's similar on the ATi side,
which requires Nero Digital ($60, I think) for hardware-accelerated H.264
decoding.
