What does delreg.exe do?

Hello.

Recently, I got a new MSI P43 NEO3-F (MSI-7514) motherboard and
installed the latest MSI Dual Core Center software, I noticed it added
its delreg.exe into my Windows XP Pro. SP3's startup registry. What does
this do and do I need this?

Thanks, but it still doesn't tell me what it does for MSI DualCore
Center. I disabled that delreg.exe and hasn't seen any side effects.
