Word 2007 on Vista Ultimate x86 - mouse pointer flicking to Busy continously
Hi,
This is really bugging me. I have even resorted to reformatting and
reinstalling everything!
On Word 07, the mouse pointer is continously switching between busy and
regular arrow. It's making everything I do on Word extremely slow! It also
seems to affect Excel 07 too, although the pointer doesn't change - the
program just seems to stutter along. It's especially noticable when
scrolling up and/or across a spreadsheet.
I have searched on Google, and one guy did seem to solve the problem, but
failed to share his solution!
Re: Word 2007 on Vista Ultimate x86 - mouse pointer flicking to Busy continously
Hi Neil,
I had exactly the same problem recently and discovered the cause purely by
accident. I am using a wireless mouse and found that if my Bluetooth phone
was turned on and in the same room then the problem occurred. Whenever I
turned off the Bluetooth phone the problem disappeared.
I hope that your problem can be so easily solved. If not, then I am afraid
I cannot suggest anything else.

Re: Word 2007 on Vista Ultimate x86 - mouse pointer flicking to Busy continously
Just to bring the issue up to date, I traced the problem down to a printer
driver - updated to a newer Vista driver (although, according to the
manufacturer - Toshiba, the previous one was Vista compliant).
The problem has since gone away.
