Word 2007 mangles Times New Roman 12 on HP Printer

Tried to print a French composition in Times New Roman 12 using Word 2007 on
an HP Deskjet 932c, XP SP3. All the accented characters are scrunched
together. Example, "Ainsi, toute la famille a déménagé à Fort Collins."
The characters in "déménagé à" are right on top of each other. After
printing, on-screen display is messed up too. ¿Qué coños ocurre? Calibri
12 prints fine.
