I cannot open clipart on Word 2007. It locks the document and I have to use
task manager to close word and start again. A previous posting reply to the
same problem does not work for me as the Detect and Repair option is not
available.
Any other ideas?

Look at your firewall program, it may have the Office site blocked.
Empty your temp cache, in Internet Explorer, tools, Internet options, delete
files.

Cleared cache no different. My word 2003 works ok so I dont think it is my
firewall. Any other ideas?

Word 2003 and 07 will work without the Internet, the clipart will not. This is
why I suggested the firewall. If you are not sure put the Office site in your
trusted zone.
In Internet Explorer, tools, security tab, highlight "Trusted sites" click
sites, clear "Require server verification (https for all sites in this zone."
Type http://office.microsoft.com click add.
