I've got a strange problem with Word 2003. If I open up a blank document
everything works fine, its pretty quick in fact. But as soon as the document
is saved there is a massive delay (3 - 4 seconds) between typing something
and it appearing on the screen. At this point the Word process is runnng at
60 - 80% CPU. I've checked temp files, installed SP 3 and the machine is
free from viruses. The location your saving to does not seem to matter
either, it does the same wether its a local or network drive. Can anybody
offer any advice?
When you save make sure paragraph marks is turned off to save space on file
size, might help. Not sure, but can't hurt.
