Why a new office Home student 2007 has invalid product key?

I got from Best Buy a complete package to install Office Home & student 2007
in my HP laptop wich came with a trial version but I deleted it after I
couln't install office. I have tried several times changing B's by 8's , D's
by 0's and I keep getting same "invalid product key". Please help me..

Err you ARE entering the product key that is on the "swing-out" part of the
Office box and NOT the product key on your laptop, aren't you?
