Urgent!! Word,Excel,Powerpoint 2007 files open as Zipped files on

Hi,
I have installed MS Office 2007 on a Windows Server 2003 Terminal Server.
When I try open Word,Excel,Powerpoint 2007 files, it recognizes it as a
zipped files.
These files are located on a link and I get the problem when I open it using
Internet Explorer.
There is no issue with Firefox.
Kindly help to fix this.

Just re-name them as .docx, .pptx etc. For an explanation, see here:

Hi Lucy,
Thanks for the response.
The files are already of the extension .docx,pptx,xlsx
These files are on a web server and when I try to access the link to access
the files, using Internet Explorer, it comes up as with a message to
open/save the file as zipped file.
With Firefox, it comes up with open/save as Word 2007,Powerpoint 2007 and
Excel 2007.

I wish to know the setting/configuration to correct this behaviour on
Internet Explorer.
