Default Upgrading From Office 97 to 2000

I just upgraded an old laptop from Office 97 to Office 2000 (both
Professional Editions). (I know, I'm way behind the times but this is all I
own at the moment.) After the upgrade, which went very smoothly, I see that
I have a new shortcut folder in My Documents called "Old Excel Files". All
of my spreadsheets and other documents are intact since the upgrade in their
proper folders and they are functioning well. This "Old Excel Files"
shortcut seems to contain information relevant only to the older version of
Office. Can I delete the shortcut folder from My Documents?

You might stand a better chance of getting an answer in a different
newsgroup: microsoft.public.officeupdate
