Re: upgrade to xp serv pack 3 asking for ms publisher disk.????
Depending on the version of Office XP you purchased, it should have been
included. Which Office XP version did you purchase?

Re: upgrade to xp serv pack 3 asking for ms publisher disk.????
Tim thanks for replying I am struggling to learn how to use this discussion
group setup but will keep trying - anyway I have XP Pak 2 which I installed
from the original s/w on laptop when I purchased it - I have all the original
discs of s/w but can't find the one upgrade is asking for. Hope this answers
your question - thanks a long and yes, I am a good cook

Re: upgrade to xp serv pack 3 asking for ms publisher disk.????
I'm not tim but I can answer this one.
Yes, the MS web interface is that complicated. As a matter of fact, it's a
royal PITA. Try accessing the group with Outlook Express (or Windows Mail)
or even Google Groups. Much easier to find what you need. ;-)

If you don't have the Office disk that has publisher on it, guess you're up
a creek?

Re: upgrade to xp serv pack 3 asking for ms publisher disk.????
Look in the control panel for the folder "program updates", click change update
settings. Disable the reference to Publisher. Read the help item about hiding an
update.
