I sold my copy of Office 2002 for Teachers and Students over eBay. Do I need
to unregister the software with Microsoft before the new user can load it on
their computer? My computer died on me so I just bought a new computer and
loaded a newer version of Office. Thanks beforehand for any help I get.

Re: Unregistering Office 2002 for Teachers & Students
There isn't any unregister or unactivate function. You are on the honor
system to discontinue using the software and to transfer the original
CD, all backup copies, product key, and certificate of authenticity (if
any) to the new owner. Whether the new owner will be able to activate
the software online depends on the timing and frequency of your previous
installation(s) of the software.
