Default Uninstall 60 day Trial Version of 2007 from start-up & PC

Hi, My daughter purchased a lap-top with the 60 day Trail Activation of
Office Suites

I have purchased the cd from retail and installed it on her PC and activated
it by telephone. As the laptop is new it's not all set up yet. I unhooked
my desk-top & plugged the laptop in to check if everything set up ok.

But the trial version Key Activation keeps popping up wanting to activate
the Trial Version. I assumed that my installation of the retail version
would just overide and remove.

When I check uninstall or change programs... I see my installed version
Office Home & Student as loaded today. But I also see Activation for MS
Trial as well as Microsoft suites.

I don't want to go and uninstall the MS Suites if somehow what I loaded to
day merged with that one. Is that possible? What should I do?

thanks for any suggestions

Uninstall both, install the paid version.

Hi JoAnn, I already installed the paid/licensed version.

The Trial one was not Activated. And the MS suite is either part of the
Trial (by the same date of each) or it is a lower level that comes free with
the laptop?? (not sure)

Sorry, So I didn't understand if you wanted me to unintall the paid version
as well.

thank you

Oh also I'm concerned as I can only install the program on 3 times. And I
don't understand if I install it again if that is one of the counts?
Therefore the last time I can use the purchased program?

if you could let me know, thanks

No, you may have 3 installed copies of Home and Student at the SAME TIME.

Uninstall both - paid and trial. You may not have activated it but it's
install and if it's going to cause issues (never say never), it will do so
when you just do not have the time to deal with it.

So YES, install both copies. Reinstall the paid version. Uninstalling it and
reinstalling it on the same computer is not two installations.
