Hi, even though I have saved my text styles in document 1 to be a
style set, when I go into document 2 and click on that style set name,
the actual styles don't appear in teh style list.
How can I quickly replicate a bunch of styles from one document into
another?
The styles need to be added as Quick Styles for them to be saved in your
Style Set. Right-click each style you want to include in your Style Set (or
those that are missing) and make sure you do *not* see the command "Add to
Quick Style Gallery". If it has the "Remove from Quick Style Gallery"
command then it's already added.

Thanks Beth, that's pretty much what I have been doing, but for some
reason they arer not showing up in future documents. I think I need to
figure out a way to save them as styles in normal.dot.

Are you saying that styles you've added to the Quick Style gallery, and
saved as a Style Set, when the Quick Style Set is used in another document
some of the styles are not added to the document?
While you can save them in your Normal template, by using the "New documents
based on this template" option in the Modify style dialog box, they are
limited to new documents only and you'd need to copy your custom styles for
documents you've already created. By using a Style Set it makes it easier to
use on both new and existing documents. Also, if you want to set the Style
Set as the default use the "Set as Default" command under the Change Styles
drop down.
